How do I create an account?

Download ShareACoffee from the App Store, then sign up with your email or Sign in with Apple. You'll need to provide your college information, location, and favorite coffee preferences to complete your profile.

Is ShareACoffee only for college students?

Yes! ShareACoffee is designed exclusively for college students to help build a safe, authentic community focused on academic collaboration and study sessions over coffee.

How does matching work?

Browse profiles of students at your college and nearby. Swipe right if you want to connect for study sessions, left if not. When two people swipe right on each other, it's a match! You can then start chatting and coordinate study sessions at local coffee shops.

What features are available?

ShareACoffee includes study session scheduling, virtual coffee gifts (lattes, espressos, cold brew), academic blog posts, coffee shop check-ins with badges, avatar selection (90+ characters), and a rewards system with 50+ unique badges for academic engagement.

How do I unmatch with someone?

Go to your Matches tab, find the match you want to remove, swipe left on their conversation, and tap "Unmatch". This will remove them from your matches and prevent further messaging.

Can I change my profile information?

Yes! Go to your Profile tab and tap "Edit Profile" to update your photos, bio, coffee preferences, or any other information.

How do I add or change photos?

In your Profile tab, tap on your profile photo to add or change photos. You can upload photos from your camera roll or take a new one.

What are study sessions?

Study sessions are scheduled meetups at local coffee shops where you can study with other students. You can create a session with a specific course/subject, set a time and location, and other students can join. This helps you find study partners with similar academic interests.

How does the coffee shop map work?

The Map tab shows nearby college students and local coffee shops. You can see other students' locations (with their permission), discover coffee shops for study sessions, and coordinate meetups at specific venues.

Is my data private and secure?

Yes! We take your privacy seriously. Your data is never shared with third parties, and you have full control over your profile visibility. You can delete your account at any time from the Settings tab.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account. This will permanently remove your profile, matches, and messages. This action cannot be undone.

I'm having technical issues. What should I do?

Try restarting the app first. If the problem persists, please contact our support team with details about the issue you're experiencing.
